A. Large and/or more complex claims may require manual adjudication.
However, there are some other common reasons that will cause a claim to require manual adjudication such as but not limited to:
- Claiming non-warrantable items such as overhead costs such as shop supplies (ex. Cleaners) or claiming Cummins genuine parts in the other claimable section of the claim. See acceptable items that can be claimed in other claimables section, Warranty Administration Manual - Section 502-009
- Claiming excessive quantities of parts and/or labor
- Failure Point discrepancies (Failure point discrepancies are caused when the claim that has been filed has a failure point less than the previous claims in the engine’s history).
